Late-night eating near the concert halls, tested on four show nights

What is still open at midnight, what takes foreign cards, and the one place the fans queue for after the encore.

Four shows, four different halls, and one question every night: where do we eat now? These are the places that were actually open when we walked out after the encore.

Near the arena

Two noodle shops on the main road stay open until two. Both took my foreign card. The one closer to the station had a line of forty fans at half past eleven, and it moved faster than it looked because the menu has four items.

Near the dome

The food street behind the dome closes at eleven, which is a problem if the encore runs long. The convenience store opposite the exit sells hot soup cups and had a microwave line ten deep, so budget fifteen minutes.

The place everyone queues for

A grilled skewer stand under the bridge. Cash only, one item, no seats. It is worth it on a cold night and the owner knows every setlist because the fans tell him.

  • Card acceptance: noodle shops yes, street stands no.
  • Last orders: ask at the door, most kitchens stop thirty minutes before closing.
